( really odd , tonight I am watching Globetrekker and it is Iran...so ironic...Naj, I have to say it is very beautiful...I would love to go there one day...)

Never been to Iran, but while flying from Kabul to Dubai, I noticed the biggest ship I've ever seen (and this was from 30,000 feet) sitting off the coast in the Strait of Hormuz. This was back in December, and I can't imagine putting another one out there.

I had no idea carriers were that big...and I can't imagine what the US would do if one of those was floating that close to San Francisco, New York, etc..

Haven't watched the Carrier, but saw something on I-Tunes about it and dismissed it out-of-hand.

Kind of like that movie "Annapolis..." or "BlackHawk Down." No real need to see that kind of stuff.

However - if you haven't seen Ironman, I strongly recommend it. It's the first superhero movie I've ever seen where America is never under threat or in danger. I won't ruin it for you, but let's just say Ironman is all about kicking Afghan warlord butt (who were identified properly in the movie as having received aid and weapons from the US) and saving Afghan villages...not New York.

I can't keep my comix straight anymore. When did PBS get into comix?

Servant,

There's more to it than meets the eye; a very clever critique ...
